China Entrepreneurs to host TMT China 2011 Summer Tech Series

This summer, China Entrepreneurs (CE) will host two daylong conferences, comprising the TMT China 2011 Summer Tech Series in Beijing. Both events will be held at the St. Regis Hotel in Beijing, China, and will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing players in the thriving technology and mobile industry. Topics will include Internet and Mobile Investment Opportunities, Social Networking and Location-based Services, Mobile Finance: Financing Your Technology’s Growth, and more.

The first conference of the Series, held on July 27, will focus on The Group Buying Model in China. Panels will include “The Group Buying Business Model,” “Investing in Group Buying Websites,” and “Impact of Group Buying on the Business Ecosystem.” In an afternoon debate, Silicon Valley experts will address concerns leveled at group buying companies, and CEOs from the industry will respond. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of what makes for a sustainable business model and whether there is a future for this unique industry in China.

The second forum, “SNS Boom in China,” will take place on August 24. Topics will include “Determining a Social Network’s Value,” Social and Profitable: the Business Model of a Social Network,” “Turning Consumers into Friends: The Marketing Power of Social Networks for Companies,” and “Finding the Niche: Opportunities Yet to Be Explored.” These panels will center on the specific role that social networking sites have played in the business world, and how companies can leverage SNS to further enhance their value.

Both conferences promise excellent opportunities for those interested in the field of technology and mobile services to network, learn from industry specialists, and equip themselves to better answer some of the major questions within the current industry—notably: what is hype, and what is real?
